Asthma 'can be controlled' with clean bed linen

Changing the bed linen regularly can lower the chances of young and old people alike suffering an asthma attack, an expert believes, highlighting the importance of World Asthma Day today.
Today (Tuesday, May 5th) is World Asthma Day, with healthcare groups and charities alike highlighting how asthma can be controlled.According to the health supplement for iafrica.com, there is an amazing number of ways to combat this, with the choice of bedding being a particularly important contributor.
It noted that with the respiratory condition thriving on irritants such as dust, smoke and pollen, people should seriously consider regularly changing their bed linen as a means of controlling this.
The website explained that common dust mites love to use the likes of comforters and bedspreads as a stomping ground, yet a simple weekly wash in hot water will lower the likelihood of this being the case, in turn not aggravating the disease.
Leading charity Asthma UK states that while there is no cure for asthma, people should look into proper medicines delivered via inhalers, spacers and nebulisers.
