Bedrooms must grow in style as their owners do, with one writer specifically applying this to the teenage demographic, highlighting how bedding, bedspreads and duvet covers are all part of the design which must reflect their personality.

Bed linen 'must reflect teenager's individuality' The personality of a teenager must be reflected in the most personal space: the bedroom, one writer explained.

Kacey Keith, writing for the Herald Mail, asserted that teenagers see their bedroom as a sanctuary and as a result, they should ensure their personal touch gets into every element of the room, such as their bedding.

She said that interests are one of the most important things which need showcasing, explaining that many may want to hang up photos if they are good with cameras or use their painting skills to redecorate their walls.

Ms Keith also recommended that people invest money into designs they like, such as with bed linen, instead of items which reflect current trends or a colour scheme, as these can be outdated or look slightly childish.

For younger children, organic cotton and other safer materials should be used when it comes to duvet covers and the like as it is the healthiest option available, Luanne Bradley of the Examiner said earlier this week.
