Bright and bold bed linen 'perfect' for summer

Despite her love for crisp white bedspreads at whatever time of the year, one leading bedding lover has recommended that people invest in bright and bold bed linen this year - particularly citrus colours.
Today's bedding look is much different to styles of previous seasons, according to a leading interior designer.Mary Carol Garrity, a home furnishings shop owner and writer for Scripps News, explained that she is usually a major fan of the benefits which crisp white bed linen can bring, yet summer trends in colours cannot be ignored.
She said that bright and bold colours should be used on duvet covers and bedspreads to pair with thinner bedding, particularly if it is citrus-themed - as long as the bedroom owner was comfortable doing this.
If not, natural hues are more acceptable, with muted solids and patterns providing a nice colour scheme for those wishing to harmonise the colours in their room.
The use of bedding for a teenager's bedroom is much more important however, with the Herald Mail's Kacey Keith stating earlier this month that every element of such a room is conducive to their personal sanctuary.
