Alongside a solid investment in Egyptian cotton bed linen to add luxury to a bedroom, people should also consider lighting in their personal space to improve efficiency and complement surroundings.

LED lights can 'enhance beauty of bedroom' The use of LED lights in the bedroom may be one of the best ways to improve the feel of the personal space, it has been recommended.

LEDs, also known as light-emitting diodes, are well-set to become the next energy-efficient improvement in homes across the country, noting that they are well known for slashing utility bills and shedding light on gorgeous bedding for a much smaller cost.

For example, a 35W halogen bulb commonly used in bedrooms can be swapped out for an LED alternative of just 4W, with spotlight versions also very popular for people who want light in different directions in the room, such as for reading in bed when wrapped in a comforter.

The newspaper added that LEDs may cost £10 but will return £7 in savings, cutting a bill as much as £121 in its lifetime.

Alongside lighting adjustments, people may want to make major changes to bed linen and other boudoir assets, with Debbie Travis of the Post and Courier explaining that by stripping away heavy bedding, people will feel more comfortable in their home during the summer months.
