Many people in Aberdeen are unhappy with the quality of sleep they are getting, it has been revealed.
The people of Aberdeen are having a tough time when it comes to getting a good night's sleep, it has been revealed. Results of the Great British Sleep Survey, revealed by the Scotsman, show the city has a sleep satisfaction score of a mere 62 per cent.
Dundee, meanwhile, did not fare much better as it scored just 65 per cent, while Falkirk and Stirling were also ranked inside the top ten.
Professor Colin Espie, director of the University of Glasgow Sleep Centre, conducted the survey and suggested that more needs to be done to address the issues affecting sleep.
He continued: "Sleep is a fundamental life process, just like eating and drinking, yet many people have poor sleep and suffer the consequences. Sleep is life's refuelling station."
Scientists recently suggested that using light-emitting devices such as laptops or iPads before bed can have a negative impact on sleep patterns.
