Investing in a new and comfortable bed spread and mattress could be the key to reducing stress, according to an industry expert.
Investing in a new bed spread and mattress could help people to reduce their stress levels, it has been claimed.Brits struggling with a lack of sleep and heightened stress levels as the country emerges from the recession have been urged to change their bedding by the US Better Sleep Council.
The organisation's lifestyle expert Lissa Coffey said: "A mattress that cradles you with comfort can go a long way to help reduce stress.
"It provides a good night's rest so that you can perform your best during the day, even in tough times."
Her comments follow research by scientists at Oklahoma State University, which suggested that stress negatively impacts on people's ability to sleep.
Earlier this month, the UK Sleep Council's Jessica Alexander indicated that a lack of sleep has a direct impact on emotional and physical wellbeing.
