Can't sleep in hotels? Take your own pillow

Anyone who is unable to get a decent night's sleep in hotels may want to think about taking their own pillow.
Not being able to sleep in hotels is a problem for many people, so why not consider taking your own pillow next time you have some time away? This is the advice issued by Scott Charmichael in an article for gadling.com, who suggested that a familiar memory foam pillow could make all the difference in a hotel.
For those who are also embarking on long journeys to get to their destinations, this can be a great way of ensuring the trip is more relaxing in the car as well.
"It may add a couple more pounds to my baggage, but I'll gladly take that if it means a great night's sleep," he explained.
Mr Carmichael observed that many people are often shy about asking housekeeping staff for new pillows if they are unhappy with the ones they have been given.
In a recent interview with the Financial Times, the product manager of Premier Inn explained that her role involves testing beds at one of the country's most successful hotel chains.
