Colourful pillowcases 'inject a summer feeling'

Anyone hoping to brighten up their home should think about getting hold of some colourful pillowcases.
As the weather is looking like it may finally be perking up, colourful pillowcases could be just the way to make a home seem more summery.This is according to Jonathan Adler, who told the Chicago Tribune that people should not be afraid of injecting a bit of colour into their homes.
"The colors I'm mad for right now are turquoise and yellow. Both look fantastic when teamed with a muted gray," he revealed.
Rather than going all out and opting for a new lick of paint, altering pillowcases within a bedroom can make all the difference, the interior decorator indicated.
Using different sizes and shapes adds both texture and interest to a room, Mr Adler claimed, so it is worth experimenting with a range of different looks.
Susanne Hoidal, interior designer at Esprit Decor in Chesapeake, recently told Hampton Roads that getting hold of bright pillowcases is a way of adding instant appeal to a room.
