Bouncing on a mattress and bed spread is still a good way to test the quality, according to an industry expert.
A good bounce is still a good test of the quality of a bed spread and mattress, is has been claimed.Speaking to the Financial Times, the product manager 'bed tester' at the hotel group Premier Inn explained that she begins every test with some "basic bouncing up and down".
However, she told the newspaper that there is quite a science to testing a bed.
She also noted that the quality of a mattress and bed linen are two of the most important things to customers visiting a hotel, although bathrooms were also increasingly valued.
Interior designer Julia Kendell recently suggested that larger showers are becoming more popular, with walk in showers being sought after by many homeowners.
She added: "It's getting that combination of having a large shower and having somewhere you can soak and let the days woes soak away."
