Landlords hoping to rent their properties out to students need to ensure the bedrooms are up to scratch.
Students are on the lookout for good quality bedding when it comes to renting out a property, a survey reveals.Carried out by Accommodationforstudents.com, the study found that first impressions of the bedroom are essential for anyone looking to rent a house or flat.
Poor decor is likely to be a massive turn off, as are cramped rooms with little space for storing personal belongings.
Bedrooms with a double bed spread, however, were revealed to be more popular than those that just have a single bed or come across as too child-like.
Managing director of the site Simon Thompson commented: "As attitudes are always evolving it's important to speak to students to establish what they want from their housing."
Tanya Linton, in an article for the Calgary Herald, recently indicated that storage beds are a great way of keeping teenagers' bits and bobs out of the way.
