'Sweet dreams' gained from eco-bedding

Hoping to invest in your health as well as bedding? Buying an organic cotton mattress and pillows will provide you with the perfect base for other natural bed linens such as that provided by Egyptian cotton, one writer says.
Considering one's health when buying bedding may contribute to a better sleeping experience, it has been stated. Home furnishings writer Jeff Schnaufer said in a piece for Tristate Home Show that the switch to an eco-sensitive mattress that was not produced with the help of unnatural chemicals may give everyone a better quality of sleep.
Speaking to eco-friendly Los Angeles designer Sarah Barnard, he established that organic cotton was not only a great choice for bed linen but for mattresses and pillows too.
The interior specialist said: "When we consider how much of our lives we spend in our bedrooms, and specifically how our bodies regenerate during sleep, it's easily understood how a mattress made of petroleum-based materials is less than desirable."
Based in California's Central Valley, the Sustainable Cotton Project is close to LA and provides a large amount of organic cotton in the US.
