Flexibility gained 'through off-the-shelf bedding'

Bedding is best bought straight from the shelf, a design specialist has recommended, as duvet covers, comforters and bed linen are needed in large quantities and can save a person money when bought from a shop.
A bed expert said that off-the-shelf bedding is the best bet for buyers, noting that non-tailored options were cheaper for the investor.Interior design website My Design Secrets said that coverlets, duvets and comforters for the average bedroom required a lot of fabric overall, making custom-made bedding much more expensive.
The designer continued: "The key here is the flexibility to make affordable changes from season to season and items that can be easily laundered."
Furthermore, autumn and winter can be fought off with down or hypo-allergenic comforters and duvet covers, according to the bedding boffin.
The best way to clean a duvet cover or comforter, HowStuffWorks advised, was to machine-wash it in cold water, with more fragile duvets needing a more delicate touch and a hand-wash to prevent damage to the fibres.
