Get a 'good Xmas investment' with memory foam
Published: 07 November 2008
Memory foam is a good Christmas investment, a bedding expert has said, with aching backs and bodies being cured by the comfortable qualities of the material - something which may come in handy for the heavy bags on Christmas shopping trips.
People wanting to treat themselves to a great night's sleep this Christmas should invest in memory foam, an industry blogger has said.A person's mattress is "absolutely crucial" in their comfort levels says Rebecca, a writer for design specialist Essential Interiors.
She added that mattresses should be changed every eight to ten years and memory foam is a perfect way to indulge a body in the festive period.
Rebecca noted that a bad mattress is a big contributor to aching bodies and pulled muscles as well as a poorer quality of sleep.
"By responding to your body's contours, your weight and pressure distribution will most definitely be improved. It is this distribution that will prevent aches, pulls and general 'feeling rubbish'," she added.
Fitness trainer Fitz K recently shared her love for memory foam, telling That's Fit that the material showed her how uncomfortably she used to sleep before getting one.
