Mix and match to 'reinvigorate bedroom'

The role of duvet covers, bedspreads, bed linen and a range of other bedding items has been discussed by an interior designer who recommends they should be combined to get the most bang for your buck.
An American interior designer has highlighted the role of tightening budgets in a bedroom's design, stating that people should be willing to mix and match their bed linen to get a brand new look.Writing for the Southampton and East Hampton Press in New England, Marshall Watson said the bedroom could draw colour and style from a number of different sources, adding that he hunted down a number of different bedding sets to create brand new looks.
He continued: "Mix it up, remake it, revolve it and dig out those forgotten treasures that the shelter mags deemed 'irretrievable' a year ago. It's all in the recombining, reimagining and rearranging - not simply in the purchasing."
Last week, Ben Naylor of the Independent said that tartan was very much one of the in-things when it came to patterns for bed linen.
