Tartan is 'loved' this season

People wanting to have a different look to their bedroom may want to get tartan-print bed linen this season, with one national reporter highlighting the impact the Scottish pattern could have on their bedding or duvet covers.
Weeks of "striding confidently down the catwalk" has finally made tartan an acceptable pattern for the winter, with one national reporter emphasising the design effects it could have on a bedroom.Ben Naylor of the Independent said that items such as curtains and sofas can harness tartan to a stylish potential - but for people wanting to play it safe, there are other investments - notably bedding.
Mr Naylor continued: "If that's a little brash for your taste, experiment with a tartan throw - warm in winter, something to sit on during picnics in summer - or some tartan bed linen."
According to Scotland On Line, tartans were developed as a way of illustrating districts by bonding a community with a fabric.
