Centaur adorns bedroom of much-loved baseball star

Many big sports stars may invest a lot of money in high-end bed linen and memory foam, yet one has decided to do something completely different: allegedly have himself painted as a centaur above his bed.

A recent conversation with the ex-flame of a baseball star has revealed that his ego may be bigger than his skills at the bat.

That's because the ex-girlfriend of slugger Alex Rodriguez, who currently plays for the New York Yankees, told Us Weekly that above his bed allegedly hangs a picture of the player as a centaur.

"He was so vain," she insisted. "He had not one but two painted portraits of himself as a centaur. You know, the half-man, half-horse figure? It was ridiculous."

Alex Rodriguez is currently in a close relationship with Kate Hudson, the actress who made a name for herself in the 2000 film Almost Famous, winning a Golden Globe for best supporting actress.

The New York Yankees are 3-1 up against the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series, with only one more win needed to win the biggest title in baseball.
