Dedication in relationship 'shown through breakfast in bed'
Published: 23 November 2009
Though bedding is a natural enemy of food - particularly crumbs - breakfast while enjoying bed linen may be the way to be wooed by a significant other, it is said.
A local hero has turned out to be a domestic one as well, impressing his family and wider area alike with a range of skills. The daughters of farmer Kevin Butler, a man who won the 2009 Local Hero award with wife Rhonda for rebuilding bushfire fences after blazes engulfed Victoria, told Lawrence Money of the Sydney Morning Herald that while his skills go unsaid, it is his approach to the morning routine which marks him out as a great guy.
Kylie, Melissa and Sarah Butler explained that every day, Mr Butler takes his wife a cup of tea to their room while she relaxes under the bed linen.
Mr Money described the happiness of the woman as a "goddess thing", explaining that there is no better way to wake up than to "have hubby-Jeeves clattering away in the kitchen" while they relax from the comfort of their own bedding.
And AskMen.com UK agrees, noting that breakfast in bed for a woman is the "most memorable thing a man can do".
