Guest rooms 'need good mattresses'

Guest rooms must be decorated with the finest bed linen such as Egyptian cotton or Pima, it is believed
A spare room should always deliver a "five-star experience" for anyone staying with the person who decorates it, according to a new report. The GateHouse News Service explained that any such room should be free from clutter at all costs, before focusing on anything else of note.
It said that the bed is completely central to the experience of the bedroom, obviously, so the source focused its sights on making it as comfortable as possible.
GateHouse said that bedding must be plush, inviting bedding which "further enhances that feeling of a quiet, hotel-like retreat".
Recommending Egyptian cotton, it continued: "A high-thread count sheet set, featherbed mattress topper, oversized pillows and a down comforter can help create a feeling of serenity. Don't forget to top things off with an equally luxurious bedcover and matching throw pillows."
And if any weary travellers are still unable to sleep due to insomnia, think about getting a LightSleeper - an invention recently unveiled by Kate Evans, a 25-year-old innovator who harnesses the power of blue moving lights to help lull sufferers into a doze.
