Strictly tanned skin - and bed linen - for Hollins
Published: 11 November 2009
The dangers of using fake tan have been laid bare for all to see by one hapless contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, who revealed how he destroyed his bedding with the product.
The practicality of using fake tan is not usually at the top of the list of important qualities for the substance, as proved by one Chris Hollins of Strictly Come Dancing fameIt was the BBC Breakfast sports presenter who revealed to the Sun that his means to an end when looking more bronzed on the dance floor has concluded in disaster for his bed linen, as his bedding has taken a major battering at the hands of the bottled goodness.
"Ola bet me on the first day that I'd have a fake tan and I swore I wouldn't. But I'm £50 poorer because I've had quite a few. My girlfriend thinks it's funny - even though I've ruined two sets of bed sheets," he said.
Perhaps the dancer should have spent less time speaking to the Sun and instead spent some more time under it; it would likely do his duvet cover a little bit more justice, at least.
Ricky Whittle is currently one of the favourites for the Strictly title this year, though he has competition from the likes of Ali Bastian and Phil Tufnell.
