The benefits of healthy bedding have been extolled by an American newspaper which states that the use of organic cotton and the dismissal of bed linen that uses chemical colourants is the way forward for sleep lovers.
A recent report for an American news provider has revealed that a bed should be thought of as a landscape - and as such, should be free of chemicals and ought to be all natural. The Las Vegas Review Journal stated that a healthy bed created the most comfort for a person as it was the way nature had intended, adding that investing in long-lasting bedding or mattresses also saved cheaper ones going on a landfill site quicker.
It said: "On average, we encase ourselves in our bedding for about one-third of our lives.
"Mattresses, pillows and other bedding materials become our environment," the news resource added, noting that this created "an intimate habitat with its own climate and ecosystem".
About Organics stated that organic bed linen was quickly becoming an "absolute essential" in the home as many fabrics could leak chemicals out during sleep and could result in rashes.
