Horsehair mattress suited to Brangelina

Celebrity superstars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have foregone memory foam or Egyptian cotton in seeking their next thrill for the bedroom, investing over £35,000 in horsehair-based bedding.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have bought a horsehair mattress to improve the quality of their sleep - and not for a small price.

Having been kept awake after recently giving birth to twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon in July, Angelina decided it was time put $65,000 (£37,000) into the bed which they hope will bring them a better night's rest.

"Angelina is hoping she can rest better now she has bought a brand new horsehair mattress," said a source close to the couple.

"The incredible Vividus bed was made entirely by hand in Sweden. It took roughly 150 hours to make."

Yesterday, it was confirmed that Brad and Angelina had fallen in love on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith - filmed during Brad's marriage to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
