Skin care is 'down to bedding'
Published: 22 October 2008
Youngsters hoping to keep their skin clear of problems have been advised to change their bedding regularly in order to avoid spots, with extra bed linen helping them keep a better look, according to a top stylist.
A famous stylist and make-up artist has highlighted the importance of bedding in maintaining healthy skin, particularly with active youngsters.Melvone Farrell, a specialist hired by magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire and Vogue, offered a range of tips to those wanting make-up ideas, with skin being the number one concern.
She noted that many teenagers, when active, are prone to sweating and are known to sleep without washing their faces, meaning that bacteria can collect on bedding which can then transfer to their skin.
Ms Farrell told the Examiner: "Parents don't need to go out and spend a ton of money on more Egyptian cotton sheets, just buy a few extra pillow cases."
Born and raised in the east end of London, Ms Farrell works in both the UK and US, doing makeup for company commercials such as those of Vidal Sassoon, Coca-Cola, Nike and Jaguar.
