Bedding will be 'little comfort' for Stephen Warnock
Published: 16 October 2009
He could have Egyptian cotton bed linen, a memory foam mattress and the most comfortable pillows in the world and Stephen Warnock still would not sleep tonight. After all, he's playing against Chelsea tomorrow!
While everyone else snuggles up under their bed linen tonight, spare a thought for poor old Stephen Warnock, a man who'll not get any comfort tonight. That's because the footballer, who sits in defence for Birmingham-based team Aston Villa, told the press that he'll struggle to get any comfort from his bedding before the showdown with high-flyers Chelsea tomorrow (October 17th).
Going up against the likes of Michael Essien, Nicolas Anelka and Jose Bosingwa, it's pretty easy to see why he'll be restless under his duvet cover.
"So I won't be getting much sleep at all the night before! It will be the same as usual when I come up against Chelsea," Warnock said. "It doesn't matter who plays for them because they've got such strength in depth."
Chelsea are top of the table by two points, with Manchester United in second after a couple of poor results, including a 1-0 loss to Premier League rookies Burnley early in the season.
