Couple wake up to find car in their bedding
Published: 21 October 2009
Not many people can claim to wake up with a car on top of them, but the alleged jealous actions of one drunk driver resulted in a motor being on top of two individuals in the early hours of a morning.
Waking up to find a car on top of you is hardly the most normal thing in the world, yet it was certainly reality for an unlucky couple in Reno, Nevada.Kristin Palmer and Trent Wood, who are students from the University of Reno, walked away from their bed linen with only small burns, cuts and bruises after a man crashed a stolen car through their bedroom wall.
David Cross, the alleged felon, was reportedly hoping to hit his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, though seriously misinterpreted where they lived.
"I don't know how we lived," Kristin told the Reno Gazette-Journal. "The car landed so perfectly.
She continued: "It was a miracle. I thought my leg was crushed but it was just burned. I can say I am here in one piece."
Things were also bad for a man in Melbourne this week after he crashed through a bedroom when attempting to make a U-turn in the street.
