Police officer prefers stranger's bed linen, gets arrested for it

A police officer has become the recipient of ironic justice, getting arrested by colleagues for allegedly breaking and entering a house before falling asleep on top of the owner's bed linen.
A police officer has been arrested by his fellow colleagues for a truly strange crime, it has been announced.Thomas Patrick McMahon of Arlington, Virginia was spotted by a woman returning home to get reacquainted with her bedding, only to apparently find the drunk US Capitol policeman passed out on her bed.
The 34-year-old officer was still asleep when he was picked up by the coppers, baffling those who arrested him as McMahon was unable to account for his movements leading up to being thrown in the slammer.
Capitol Police spokeswoman Kimberly Schneider said that McMahon is currently on paid administrative leave before facing criminal charges after his bout of silliness.
Last week, it was discovered that in regards to women sleeping on a night, most will get more than they give themselves credit for. Dutch researchers from the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam revealed that they get, on average, 13.2 minutes of sleep more than their male counterparts.
