Parents who wish to build their children a "sleep sanctuary" have been offered advice by a bed linen manufacturer which emphasised the importance of clean and fresh bedding for children which are attracted to the comfort of freshly-washed duvet sets.
With schools reopening this week and many parents gearing towards a stricter regime when it comes to getting their kids to sleep, Hiccups has listed several ways to get them to bed earlier and more successfully. The provider first emphasised the importance of bed linen, adding that clean duvet sets could lure a child into bed through the promise of comfortable rest.
It said: "Ensure bedding is clean and comfortable. Treating your children to new bedding will make them want to go to bed early every night."
Tidily dealing with bedding and comforters is also the order of the day, at the company also noted that a clean room is key to good sleep, as messiness can stop a child's relaxation.
American news provider School Library Journal today reported on a study from Case Western University in Ohio which found that a lack of sleep in teenagers could lead to hypertension.
