Beds are "critical" to sleeping experience

A spokesperson for the Sleep Council has highlighted the importance of a good bed set up when getting sleep, adding that bedding and bed linen is important but down to personal preference.
The Sleep Council has highlighted the importance of a good bed arrangement to ease a person off to sleep both comfortably and at the right temperature.Jessica Alexander spoke on behalf of the organisation to emphasise the importance of bedding and duvet covers in the regulation of heat.
She noted that personal preference was key to the choice of bedding that a person may opt for, but that there was no specific material or bed linen necessary - just the ability to give yourself an option during temperature changes.
Ms Alexander said: "Your body temperature may drop. The best idea there would be to wear light clothing and have light bed linen, rather than nothing at all."
A recent study for anti-cramp medicine Crampex found that common causes of sleep deprivation, alongside being too hot or cold, were muscle cramps, noisy neighbours and long working hours.
