A bed is central to life, writes a blogger, with beds representing both the beginning and end of one's life - so why not, they argue, dress the bed with quality bed linen and duvet covers to give the piece of furniture the credit it deserves?
In a blog for Home Building & Renovation, comments by a psychologist have highlighted the importance of bedding in one's home.Jeanette J Fisher's beliefs as to the emotional impact of colours and materials for bedding and duvet covers in the bedroom were unveiled on the website, with white cotton being earmarked for its ability to give the impression of a luxury hotel.
She added: "Black sheets not only look seductive, they also help keep the morning light from disturbing sleep.
"Because forest green evokes feelings of deep serenity, this colour is another good choice for bed linen."
Mr Free Thinker, speaking of modern bed linen choices on his blog Random Writer, noted that longer threads in cotton determined the strength of the fabric, as opposed to the thread count.
