Egyptian cotton benefits revealed

A blogger has noted the benefits of Egyptian cotton in comparison to other styles of the fabric, with the increased popularity of the style of bedding, duvet covers and bedspreads being explained as an understandable phenomenon.
In an article for online blog Step It Up, an unnamed blogger has highlighted the benefits of Egyptian cotton and its uses in modern bedding.The writer noted that the consumer guidelines for bed linen state that Egyptian cotton is "far superior" to others on the market.
Longer threads and a higher thread count, they added, results in a stronger fabric overall, although many companies are prone to separating fibres to get a better thread count and so bed linen should not be judged on that alone.
The blogger said of Egyptian cotton: "You’ll never be disappointed with a sheet like this on your bed.
"It will become softer and softer over time and can last many years if you take care of it properly."
It was recently revealed by Home Textiles Today that the Cotton Egypt Association was keen to enforce strict guidelines on international sellers of Egyptian cotton.
