Organic bedding 'makes a perfect bed'
Published: 15 September 2008
Organic bedding has been highlighted for its natural qualities, with a green shopping blogger adding that bedsheets, Egyptian cotton and duvet covers all work together to give the owner a luxurious sleep.
A green blogger has stated her love for organic bedding after emphasising the material's natural qualities. The contributor to the Green Familia, known as Kat, said that using fluffy blankets or a thick quilt with organically-farmed Egyptian cotton was a great option for those looking for comfort but also hoping to avoid any chemical colourings in the fabric.
She added that bed linen and duvet covers had her "dreaming" of turned down beds.
Kat continued: "On average we spend about eight hours a night in bed so it seems appropriate that we should make sure the sheets we sleep on aren't laden with chemicals."
It was noted by a report for the Egypt Daily News that the Egyptian Cotton Council had announced the drop in cotton production from six million kantars to two million kantars, in part owing to less areas in the country being able to produce the cultivation.
