Organic more expensive 'for a reason'

Although organic bedding may be more expensive than regular bed linen, it is for a good reason, argues a website, which(who for people) noted the lack of larger production processes in place for such things as duvet sets.

Organic more expensive 'for a reason' The costly processes to create organic bedding have been highlighted by a blog which aimed to answer the queries surrounding why it could be expensive.

eNewsMediaMagazine said that the move towards industrialisation after the Second World War had galvanised the development of artificial crop production and manufacturing, with the making of bedding being no exception.

It added that income was not good on such organic farms, with the cotton used for bed linen having to be part of a greater farming plan to make it more cost effective.

The website continued: "Organic farming and production initiatives are not supported by enormous government and industry investment and management, and never will be.

"In fact, industry lobbyists have been fighting the organic industry for some time now."

The Organic Trade Association stated that Turkey, Peru, India, Syria, China, United States, Pakistan, Israel, Uganda and Tanzania were the ten biggest producers of organic cotton.
