People must 'feel comfortable' with bedroom decor
Published: 14 September 2009
Individuals who want to get the most out of their boudoir must make it a design they want and not one simply recommended to them as bed linen and other items must create the best atmosphere, it is said.
Personalisation of the bedroom is the only way to make it a comfortable place to rest, according to an interior designer from across the waters.Karen MacPherson, a big figure with Victoria's ByDesign Interiors, spoke to the Canwest news service about how bedrooms should be treated maturely, noting that many people go for trendy looks but trends fade away and can regularly be disagreeable.
"You want a space that reflects you - not the designer. You want to incorporate well-loved items that reflect your personal style," she continued, highlighting the importance of good bed linen and other bedding in the mix.
Ms MacPherson particularly stressed that while people looking around houses will often overstate the importance of nice-looking bathrooms and kitchens, the master bedroom is where the heart of a house is.
Those wanting style that may match their tastes, however, ought to consider Kylie Minogue's new line of bed linen, which she launched last week at the Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire.
