The South African hotel which the England team will be staying at next summer certainly knows Peter Crouch will be staying at their facilities; after all, bedding and bed linen of the XL variety are being ordered in!

XL bedding needed for England players in South Africa Bedding of all shapes and sizes will be ready for players in the England team when they jet off to South Africa next year to start their campaign to win the World Cup.

Head honcho of Cradle Hotels Gareth Simaan, who is overseeing the construction of the five-star Royal Bafokeng Sports Campus where the team will be staying, said they are speaking to the FA daily in order to meet player and staff requirements.

A few stringent demands have been noted, though Mr Simaan stressed that none are posing a problem, particularly the 7ft bedding which lanky striker Peter Crouch will need to get a comfy snooze each night.

"The players will not want for anything while they are here - every need will be taken care of," he emphasised.

Entertainment won't come up short either, with Mr Simaan continuing: "We have space for PlayStations and Wiis and other lifestyle activities for the players. It will be a home from home for them."

England have been faultless in their World Cup campaign up to now, winning all eight group games.
