Linen water 'heavenly on bed sheets'
Published: 28 September 2010
One way of ensuring bedding smells divine is by ironing it with linen water.
Fresh bed sheets are one of the greatest pleasures in life, it has been suggested, but they can be made even more heavenly with the use of linen water. This is according to the National, which suggested that fresh, floral scented bedding is far from a reality for many homeowners.
It noted that this is only usually achievable "if those sheets have dried naturally in the sun, in a garden rich with the perfume of summer flowers".
However, by using some eau de linge - or linen water - in a steam iron, a "subtle but lasting scent" is imparted on to the luxury bed linen, making bed time even more pleasurable, the article said.
Courierpress.com recently said that the change of season is usually a great time to have a change of bedding, as the fabrics and colours can reflect what is going on outside the home.
