Winter bed linen may be needed, forecasters warn
Published: 21 September 2010
This weekend is likely to be a chilly one, so winter bed linen needs to be dug out.
The coming weekend is likely to show the first signs of winter, suggesting now is the time to get out the winter duvet quilts.Met Office spokesman Barry Grommet revealed that night-time temperatures could dip as low as three or four degrees C over the coming days, so people need to wrap up warm.
"On Saturday morning, there's a tiny chance that Aberdeen could be as cold as minus two degrees C," he told the Daily Mail.
Mountain tops throughout Scotland, meanwhile, could see a light dusting of snow, Mr Grommet predicted.
The paper therefore advised people to switch their central heating on before locating their thermals and winter bed linen.
People who struggle to store their bedding effectively were recently advised to roll it up by Helium.com, which also said it makes it much easier to locate in a cupboard than if it is folded.
