Luxury bedding gives the bedroom a 'hotel feel'
03 July 2008
Many people would like to come home to the relaxing atmosphere of a boutique hotel, asserts one interiors enthusiast, asserting that high-quality bed linen can help people achieve this look.
Writing in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Nancy Herrick reports that hotel chic can be achieved in any bedroom, with the assistance of the right bedding.
A key to getting the look right is to lavish the bed with contrasting duvet covers, bed throws and bed sheets, interior designer Erinn Valencich tells the publication.
"When everything matches, that's too boring," she says. "You need the contrasts."
The publication also asserts that buying the kind of high-end bed linen that is often found in luxury hotels can help people have a good night's sleep, as they are softer and more comfortable.
"We also are seeing the bedroom as a place to splurge, and what better way than in a set of sheets that envelop you all night long?" it adds.
Meanwhile, the Birmingham Post recently noted that Brits are seeking to incorporate French chic into their bedrooms.
